Mediziner's Notes: Decided that Edelsteine x Cascada needed some love while I've forgotten how shy OCs are ridiculously fun to write... Sort of my weakness, too. Also, I'm really sorry ForgottenHope547! I forgot what kind of car Cascada drove in the College AU RP... :C OTL It's been far too long...

Not as big like some of my other previous works, but these two still deserved some fluff love! They were more or less demanding this Medic by dancing around in his head. :D Also I'm terrible at titles...

Enjoy!

As morning rose, Cascada was met with the sun violently assaulting his face as he flinched just as the sun's rays shone slowly onto his face. Opening his eyes, everything was bright while idly reaching for his glasses on the end table and put them on, he was still half-asleep but got up to get ready seeing as Reconnaissance was still asleep. 'It must be very exhausting for him to perform concerts late at night.' He thought. Cascada had no ability to speak after an accident years back during his days in the army that rendered him mute and unable to hear in his right ear. He would then hear his phone play a sound as he curiously went over to check, and it was Edelsteine who had replied to him. At first he wasn't sure what she replied about, but then remembered that late at night, he didn't have the courage to ask her out on a date while she was awake... But then didn't remember anymore than that... Perhaps he had gotten very tired.

'I should wake Reconnaissance up, he has classes...' Cascada then went up to his roommate, placing a hand on his arm and gave him a gentle slight shake. As much as he knew it was easier to wake him up faster by speaking, he couldn't speak at all... If he did attempt to speak, it would sound like he's choking.

He continued to gently shake the older man awake, and Reconnaissance was starting to slowly become more irritated as he was dreaming... Which then only caused him to with reflect, end up butting Cascada with his elbow as this caused the younger red haired man to make a choking yelp, which woke Reconnaissance up as he jolted at the yelp as he slowly sat up, rubbing his eye. He then saw Cascada on the floor with a bloody nose... And his glasses having broken. "Cascada...?" His voice was weak, and while Cascada had scrambled up and backed away despite tripping over a couple of things due to his limited vision without glasses, it was clear he had become afraid of him.

"What are you doing...?" He asked, though began to lay back down with a tired sigh, he didn't notice the younger man managing to find himself a spare pair of glasses though had to tend to his bleeding nose.

Cascada only then made gestures, holding up a hand as if telling him 'never mind'. He then quickly left as he needed to get to class, hoping his nose would stop bleeding though with how hard Reconnaissance hit him, it really hurt. He then looked at his phone, wondering just how could he respond to Edelsteine, despite he was pretty shy yet happy about it.

"Cascada! Amigoooo!!" At the voice, he then turned and saw Brakelight run up to him. "Hola! How are-- Whoa, what happened to your face...?"

The young man merely shook his head slightly, not wanting to answer though he merely felt the need to face palm when Brakelight claimed that someone had given him a nasty punch.

Feeling his nosebleed had somewhat lessen, he then took out a piece of paper and pencil, busily writing then gave it to Brakelight as he read it out.

"Ohhhh, Reconnaissance did that to you by accidente? You also say he's not feeling very good? Hmm... Maybe we can make him feel a bit better by showing him something funny." Brakelight then busily went through his phone, Cascada quickly made gestures meaning no, then expressed that it would make him mad and that he just needs rest. He then looked at his phone and quickly made a sprint for his classes after noticing the time.

He had been a tad bit late to his health class, having had the response struck his mind while also having checked it properly along the way that Edelsteine had picked some places they could go to, but didn't make a response again... He was far too shy. 'I'm so happy she s-said yes but... Where could I take her...? I don't want to bother Fate, Brakelight, or even Reconnaissance for ideas... It would sound silly to them.'

...

Time had flown by so quickly and Cascada was finished with classes for the day, what was good was that he didn't have a lot to do this time which he considered himself lucky... But would he really think that? He thought about if Edelsteine had a lot of work piled on her, and before he could register where he was going, he then bumped into someone. "Hey, watch where 'yer f-- Cascada?" It was none other than Fate. "Have 'ya run into Edelsteine yet? She's been askin' us about you since 'ya haven't answered her. Did 'ya forget to charge 'yer phone or something?"

He would get a reply as the young man shook his head, showing he had plenty of battery left in his cell phone, though tried to explain about his situation.

"So 'yer too shy to answer her texts because she agreed to go on a date with 'ya?" Fate asked, having carefully read what Cascada's been trying to say, which they merely nodded, as if troubled. "Hey, just go if she's agreed to it, otherwise 'yer going to hurt her feelins' since I can't hang around, I promised Nightblade I'd meet her somewhere on campus." With that, Fate then left.

With a sigh, Cascada was too shy about meeting up with Edelsteine, but he briefly looked to his phone, then began typing a message to her, asking where she was after apologising for not answering her. Once he got her response, he would meet up with her near his car after having first quickly ran to his room to change into some normal clothes, though by the time he saw Edelsteine and got closer, he didn't make eye contact all that much as his shyness was starting to kick in. "Cascada! Glad you came." She spoke happily as she came up closer to him, causing the young man to back up just a bit with a shy embarrassed smile.

He simply nodded in reply, though cursed himself for being unable to talk. Cascada reached into one of his pockets for his car keys, pushing the button to unlock the doors as he gently gestures her to go in, while he makes his way around to the driver's seat. Another thing that made him curse himself even more was that she was in the direction of his right ear... That very ear he cannot hear through anymore. Oh well, he'll have to make do. Before turning on the engine of his car, he had a small alert device that he gently put onto his left ear almost like that of a bluetooth, it was so that he could hear his car beep whenever he would back up, and increase the more the car came closer to things. He would then gesture to Edelsteine shyly about that he won't be able to hear her while he's driving, as she happily nodded without a word.

Once the car was started and they left campus, they drove around for a bit before they found a place to park. Cascada himself was no good at picking places, but he saw a nice big park that they could hang out together at. 'I can only hope I don't screw up everything... I'm just no good at this...' He thought to himself with a silent sigh as the two climbed out.

"Oh, what a beautiful park! I've never seen this part of town before! The pond is even bigger than the one back on campus too." Edelsteine was beaming, which made Cascada happy that she was happy. He hoped to do the best that he could to make this date enjoyable... Or at least for him since he wasn't sure if this is the first time Edelsteine's gone on a date, but this is the first time he had ever been on a date in his whole life. They began to walk around the park, though the young man tried to think of what else was great to do, but walking together she seemed happy with so far. "Cassy, thank you for bringing me here. It's a nice place to pick, and it's not that noisy like how it would be in busy cities. It becomes harder for me to find ideas when I want to find inspiration and ideas for when I make various styles of jewellery."

At her words, Cascada felt at ease and happy. He wasn't sure what the outcome would've been if he picked the cities, but he would make sure that she was happy... Not that he didn't care about his own happiness, but as long as Edelsteine was enjoying herself, it was enough for him as he wasn't the type to expect things in return. He began to walk over to a bench, wanting to sit down while Edelsteine happily joined him, making sure to sit to his left so that he could hear her with his good ear. This bench they sat next to, it was fairly close to the pond, and he found himself amazed at how crystal clear it was. The community has sure done a great job keeping it nice and clean, and while he stared into the clear pond, he began losing himself in thoughts but was interrupted shortly afterwards, feeling something on his hand as it was Edelsteine's hand on top of his.

The young man blushed completely upon locking his own deep blue eyes with Edelsteine's beautiful yellow-orange eyes, then looked away but didn't dare move his hand away from her own, a part of him completely happy.

"Cascada?"

He turned to look at her, somewhat hesitant but dared not look away from her... Not wanting to let his shyness get the best of him. He gave a nod, as if his way of replying.

"Is everything alright?"

Cascada immediately nodded, though wasn't sure what to do as he felt panicked, nervous, what were he to do? He seemed hesitant but tried not to look like he was in a panic. Some thoughts came into mind, but didn't do a thing... His eyes briefly looking to her lips... Was it normal when going on a first date that one wanted to kiss their date? He wasn't sure, but he found himself wishing he could... But he didn't have any courage to do so... Nor did he want to upset the one he loved dearly.

...

Hours had passed and the two spent a great deal of time together. Cascada had afterwards driven them somewhere else in town so that they could eat. It was already evening as he briefly looked out, which was not safe... There was some slight light out still but he knew that he and Edelsteine need to get back to college campus before they would get in trouble. He waited patiently for the waitress to return, having paid for their dinner. He mentally sighed to himself about how slightly expensive this restaurant was, but it was more or less Edelsteine's choice to come here. Once the waitress returned with his card, the two stood and made their way back to the car, ready to go back.

'I hope I've made her happy... This is only my first date after all... Not everything goes well with first times on things.' He thought as they were on their way back, as if feeling a little sad. He was really happy to spend time with Edelsteine but tends to doubt himself, primarily because of his shyness getting over him pretty quickly before he could prevent it. 'If not, I guess... She'll find someone else...'

'Who would want to date a shy ridden idiot like me? I think I'd make any date a disaster...'
His thoughts would chime in shortly afterwards.

As they arrived, the two carefully climbed out and closed the doors, Cascada casually locking them as he gestured to Edelsteine he would walk them in the direction of the girls' dorms. There was not many students in sight along the way, but it was clear many students had already retreated to their dorms. By the time Cascada neared the front gates, he stopped a few meters away, it was a strict rule that no male treads near the gates of the girls' dorms and no female treads near the boys' dorms.

Edelsteine knew, as she turned to face him with a warm smile.

"Thank you Cascada, I really enjoyed our date." She said with a slight giggle while Cascada simply nodded, then gave a bit of a wave indicating that he was going to head back to his dorms, but then...

"Cascada?" Turning around at her voice, before Cascada could make any gestures of inquisition, he was met with Edelsteine's lips on his own briefly the moment he turned around.

She had kissed him.

Face flushing to a bright red, Edelsteine giggled as she walked slightly backwards towards the dorms. Struggling to not pass out right on the spot from what she had done.

"Let's go on a date again sometime." she said as she broke apart their kiss, then turned around, walking towards the dorms.

It took a few minutes for Cascada to recover from what happened after waving, until he saw her disappear into the building. The young man was very happy, starting to make his own way back to the boys' dorms as he adjusted his glasses slightly.

As he got back to the dorms and to his and Reconnaissance's room, he was heavily in a daze from the incident replaying into his head to bother greeting his roomie as he merely just flopped onto his bed after kicking his shoes off. His roomie didn't say a thing, but only watched Cascada for a moment before returning to his book, rather happy that his roomie seemed pretty happy.

Cascada himself couldn't wait to go on another date with Edelsteine in the future, he was completely beaming with happiness.
